Ana Vrhovic holds an MSc degree in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology from the University Arts of Ljubljana (Slovenia). She has a background in research, has researched various ethnic minorities such as Roma, migrants and asylum seekers in Slovenia and has an interest in the integration of young asylum seekers into Slovenian society. Ana has carried out research in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, (in the border areas towards Greece as well as Albania). She has participated in the implementation of several projects in the Western Balkan.
Understanding cultures and artworks has given Ana a broad insight into the perception of sociability, tolerance and solidarity. At the moment she is working in the field of global learning, designing and implementing workshops on intercultural dialogue, sustainable goals and how global learning methods can be used in integrating migrants into society.
