Eduard Nicolae Popa was born in Bucharest, Romania. He holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations and European Studies, with a thesis about the Tito-Stalin split, and an M.A. in Diplomacy Techniques, with a thesis about the UN diplomatic efforts on resolving the Syrian Crisis. He obtained both degrees from the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest.

 

His interests are public diplomacy, conflict resolution and history, especially from the Cold War period. Recently he developed a great interest in the Syrian Civil War, and he has published three academic articles on the topic.
