Hanna Lena Krüeger was born and raised in Germany. She studied BA Social Work at EFH Bochum. After her studies she worked as a Human Rights Observer with IPON (International Peace Observers Network) in Mindanao, Philippines for one year.

Hanna completed my MA Gender and Peace Building at UN mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica with a thesis on women's bodies in the German debate on Asylum, looking at racial dynamics of protection in media, law and human security. Back in Germany, she started working in an emergency shelter for refugees in Berlin where I was responsible for protection of women, children and LGBTQI* inhabitants. Besides that, she has taken part in the training by Refugee Law Clinic Berlin and now provides voluntary legal counselling for asylum seeking women.
