Jan Demidovitš was born in Estonia and the age of 17 his family moved to Finland where he got his BA in Business Administration from Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences. Currently, Jan is studying for a BA in International Relations at Rhein Waal University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Previously, Jan has lived in Hungary, Spain, China and Tanzania.

 

Before joining IWB, Jan participated in numerous projects with focus on community development and Sustainable Development Goals in Europe, China and Tanzania. Jan has been an active member of several volunteering organisations such as ESN (Erasmus Students Network), AEGEE (European Students Forum) and AIESEC (non-governmental not-for-profit organisation in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), affiliated with the UN DPI).

 

Jan speaks Russian, Estonian, English and Finnish languages fluently, has a good knowledge of German, French and Spanish, and beginner level in Chinese, Arabic and Swahili.

 

When Jan has free time you are likely to find him running (10km, half-marathons), playing football, beach volleyball or downhill skiing. He is also often seen dancing salsa, bachata and kizomba.
