Keith Peter Kiely obtained his Bachelors Degree in English and History and a Masters in International Studies from the University of Limerick. He completed his Ph.D in politics at Queens University Belfast.
Keith has published a book with Palgrave-MacMillan based on his Ph.D research examining the role of discourses on American identity and foreign policy in terms of the supposed power of sections of pro-Israel lobby in the United States. The book challenges conceptions of an all-powerful lobby and instead focuses on how historical and contemporary narratives and 'othering' impact the range of possible policy decisions available.
Keith also has spent time as a teaching assistant at Queen's University and a lecturer in Political Science at Wenzhou-Kean University in China.
