Serena Romeo was born in Naples, Italy, and she is a PhD Candidate in Politics and International Relations at the University of Leicester, UK. She conducts a research on Undocumented Child Migration in Europe. Previously she has worked for a human rights Brussels-based NGO. Serena holds a B.A. in International Relations and a Master in European Studies from the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’.

 

Serena's main areas of interest are statelessness and refugee related issues, protection of minorities, children and women’s rights.

 

Serena is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, and speaks intermediate French and German.
